Nature

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
 A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Spring style

Yeah guys, I know it is ridiculous how I'm posting a spring style inspiration post while autumn is in the corner in Australia. But who doesn't adore looking at pastel colors?
These pretty things are all found at Wanelo, feel free to follow me here. It is such a great site to gather your wishlists. The only bad thing is that, usually when I click "buy" to the original website, the item is already sold out. But doesn't hurt just to look at them right?
If you have an account which you'd like me to browse, just leave a comment with your username :)

Goodbye Google Reader

It's been days since I logged into Blogger, and today I was really sad to learn that Google Reader is leaving on 1st July. Google has stated that "There are two simple reasons for this: usage of Google Reader has declined, and as a company we are pouring all of our energy into fewer products." This is such an inconvenience for those who follow and read blogs via Google Reader or GFC (which I think will shut down soon too).

I personally am not a big fan of Google Plus or "circle" thing, whatever it is. So what I suggest is import your Google Reader data to Bloglovin' or Feedly, which both have great layouts. You can also access to them on your phone by downloading their apps. It's very easy to transport, as you go to the two websites, a notice about Google Reader retirement will pop up and you can import the blogs you follow.

We are all aware that petitions don't really work things out. But it'd still be great to at least try get Google continue running the service. Please take time and sign this petition.

If you'd like to continue following my blog, "add", "follow" or "circle" (I am still not quite sure how Google+ works...) me on Google+, where I always share my blog posts, or follow me on Bloglovin', or add me on Feedly.

See you there! :)

New journal adventure | Workplace inspiration

Do you guys write journals/diaries? If you do, I'm sure you can relate to my feelings of excitement when I started this brand new journal yesterday! This was my new year's gift from Mum, a Moleskine Classic Large Ruled Hardcover Journal. I know it looks boring with a total black cover but it's actually so beautiful! It was absolute joy writing on it. I also changed my way of documenting my day. I used to only write plain text, with some Korean stickers sometimes; now I decided to put all inspirations I find in magazines or on the Internet into it. I had so much fun cutting out clips from some old Dolly magazines.

5 March journal entry

I'd also like to share some beautiful images I discovered on Pinterest. And did I mention I'm so obsessed with those beautiful workplace pictures lately? My goodness, I can't stop staring at them. Unlike these people, my desk is a total mess!

Happy Wednesday!! Isn't it lovely to realise the day after tomorrow is Friday?... Oh well maybe ;)

Life as Daisy

So many things going on at school right now! Today I finally finished my Science research assignment - took me ages. To relax a little, I let out my inner creativity :) Here are the results.

Inspired by Marc Jacobs' perfume, 'Daisy'

I painted this cover red a few months ago and found it boring ever since... so I redecorated it with some magazine cut-outs

I would really like to know what you guys think of them :)

Wonderland

Yesterday, surprisingly but not so unexpectedly, I received a gorgeous handmade Alice in Wonderland postcard from Rin at paperedthoughts. On the front is a a picture from the cartoon, with a quote from the original book below, "But it wasn't easy for a girl who was filled with imagination and curiosity to listen to dull history lessons". On the back is a quote from Tyler Knott Gregson, handwritten by Rin. Such beautiful words and penmanship, aren't they?

"Salvation lies in the strangest of place and finds us at the strangest times. Bravery is knowing that it is ok to hurt wen we accept the salvation placed before us, its ok to be afraid and it is ok to tremble. Do not fear the fall when it is the leaping that will set you free."

And today I went to Alexander the Great exhibition at Australian Museum with school. So many treasures displayed in there! It was such a wonderful experience. I've always loved visiting museum, not to mention those special exhibits. There's just so much to learn about.

Also this evening, I'll have a kind of big dinner with my family and their workmates to celebrate Chinese New Year. Hope I'll get red pockets ;)
