New journal adventure | Workplace inspiration

Do you guys write journals/diaries? If you do, I'm sure you can relate to my feelings of excitement when I started this brand new journal yesterday! This was my new year's gift from Mum, a Moleskine Classic Large Ruled Hardcover Journal. I know it looks boring with a total black cover but it's actually so beautiful! It was absolute joy writing on it. I also changed my way of documenting my day. I used to only write plain text, with some Korean stickers sometimes; now I decided to put all inspirations I find in magazines or on the Internet into it. I had so much fun cutting out clips from some old Dolly magazines.

5 March journal entry

I'd also like to share some beautiful images I discovered on Pinterest. And did I mention I'm so obsessed with those beautiful workplace pictures lately? My goodness, I can't stop staring at them. Unlike these people, my desk is a total mess!

Happy Wednesday!! Isn't it lovely to realise the day after tomorrow is Friday?... Oh well maybe ;)

Life as Daisy

So many things going on at school right now! Today I finally finished my Science research assignment - took me ages. To relax a little, I let out my inner creativity :) Here are the results.

Inspired by Marc Jacobs' perfume, 'Daisy'

I painted this cover red a few months ago and found it boring ever since... so I redecorated it with some magazine cut-outs

I would really like to know what you guys think of them :)

Wonderland

Yesterday, surprisingly but not so unexpectedly, I received a gorgeous handmade Alice in Wonderland postcard from Rin at paperedthoughts. On the front is a a picture from the cartoon, with a quote from the original book below, "But it wasn't easy for a girl who was filled with imagination and curiosity to listen to dull history lessons". On the back is a quote from Tyler Knott Gregson, handwritten by Rin. Such beautiful words and penmanship, aren't they?

"Salvation lies in the strangest of place and finds us at the strangest times. Bravery is knowing that it is ok to hurt wen we accept the salvation placed before us, its ok to be afraid and it is ok to tremble. Do not fear the fall when it is the leaping that will set you free."

And today I went to Alexander the Great exhibition at Australian Museum with school. So many treasures displayed in there! It was such a wonderful experience. I've always loved visiting museum, not to mention those special exhibits. There's just so much to learn about.

Also this evening, I'll have a kind of big dinner with my family and their workmates to celebrate Chinese New Year. Hope I'll get red pockets ;)

January overview and today's buys

Hellooo guys! Sorry for not posting because school starts and eeeeez busy. But I finally manage some time to share pieces in my life these days.

Firstly a couple of January stuff. An amazing bowl of soup my mother made. There were pickles, beefs and mushrooms in it. Tasted sooooo good! Yeah, my mother is such a good cook.

Secondly, my 2013 good things jar! Not as pretty as those I've seen and I'd rather call it a small bottle hehe. It's actually recycled from the pickles bottle yeah! I'm being green :) I've put quite a few 'good things happened in 2013' notes in it, such as 'getting an iPhone5', signing up for tennis lessons and receiving snail mails from a friend in China!

Good things jar

Mails from my friend, Jessy

And then there's today where I got all the stuff I ordered online - yipeee!

Lovely mini notebook

Old keys

Black gel pens - lovely patterns aren't they?

Pastel colors masking tapes, expression stickers for journaling & round stickers for sealing envelopes

How about you guys? Did you guys buy any lovely things lately? xx

Last day of holidays | Bags love

Eeeeeps. So today is the last day of holidays and school tomorrow! I saw from the weather report that there'll be storm - really bad luck for me right? Putting an umbrella in our school's backpack is really tough because the schoolbag is quite small. I feel so nervous yet excited for tomorrow though.

Anyway today I spent my day at home exploring Pinterest and stuff. My mother went shopping in City. I've always wanted a small backpack for shopping or travel and she knew that. So when she saw a large variety of this kind of bags in Equip, she immediately messaged me on WeChat, sending the pictures to me and asking which one I liked. The ones above were my favorites and I had a hard time choosing. But finally, I actually chose one I didn't really like moments ago. There're lots of colorful little flowers on it and I adore it even more when my mother brought it home! Yay :D

And I spent the rest of the afternoon drinking orange juice, eating Smiths chips while watching The Vampire Diaries.

Anyone like me who's going to start their school very soon, or even right away tomorrow? I hope you guys are having a wonderful day.

Australia Day | shopping

Happy Australia Day everyone!
I had a pleasant day at China Town today.
The first pic above is a bus from Sydney Bus Museum driving in the street! There were lots of them. Different colors but all vintage. The second pic is from REVIEW OUTLET. They have seriously the best formal dresses. Third one is a poster outside TYPO. Lovely design, isn't it? And the last one was my lunch, noodles! Very delicious.
My pretty incomes are a Britain flag tank at Jayjays and a Cath Kidston print iPhone5 case at the market.

I'm very obsessed with floral prints lately. And for the record, I don't think this is the real labeel coz it only cost me 10 bucks. I love it though.
By the way, I purchased an app called Vscocam few days earlier and I'm so addicted to it! All these photos were edited by using this app. I recommend it to anyone who likes their pics to be vintage and lovely.

Lastly a drink from Easyway. There were even puddings in them.

I'm really glad that I spent this day out instead of tweeting and tumblr blogging. Taking pictures while shopping was great joy, so was putting them all together. I think I almost forgot to enjoy life and actually take pictures of what's happening instead of making out something pretty.

So how did you spend your Australia Day, Aussies? Or, how do you guys usually spend National Day in your country? :)

life lately

Interesting how I've never taken the bus ride here in Sydney but today I finally did it! (shall I cross it out from my bucket list? lol)
It's funny how the bus literally stopped every... like 200m, but only when people push the red button where it says "STOP" and the bus driver would know someone want to get off at the next stop and he'll stop the bus. The bus went by many interesting shops.

And about what I was doing the morning... I went to watch The Perks of Being A Wallflower!! I sobbed so hard during the movie - this movie is just BRILLIANT AND SERIOUSLY THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR! LOVE IT! As amazing as the book, which I read earlier this year. Favorite line: We accept the love we think we deserve. And Ezra did such an AMAZING job playing Patrick!

Sweet walk

Let me go straight to the point. This morning, I walked 4 kilometers, for 1.5 hours, to buy stamps... and didn't manage to do so, coz I was being too honest to tell them I had a tea bag included in the envelope. Then they asked me to fill out a form and turned out I needed to show them my ID card... for god's sake. Okay but the walk was really nice and I took some nice pictures to share with you guys.
